Richie Hofmann is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and a Ruth Lilly Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation. His poems appear in The New Yorker, Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, and Poetry. His first collection of poems is Second Empire, winner of the Beatrice Hawley Award. A graduate of the University Professors Program at Boston University, he holds an M.F.A. from Johns Hopkins University and is a Ph.D. candidate in English at Emory University, specializing in poetry and opera.
