If you've ever wanted to write your own screenplay, this course is designed to provide the support and pressure for you to complete a full-length script—from the initial pitch to the outline and through acts one, two, and three—all in ten weeks. The excellence we'll aim for is the excellence of the first draft--completion.We'll study other films, delve into screenplay structure and the tenets of visual storytelling as you work in camaraderie with your fellow writers to bring your screenplay across the finish line.Your project must be a feature length film (original or adaptation). You must take the course for 5 units. You may not audit. The course is by application only and is capped at 12 students.
