13th Annual Poetry Into Film Contest

The 13th Annual Poetry Into Film Contest is accepting submissions for the best short film inspired by a poem.
Open to all Stanford undergraduates currently enrolled, the poem can be written by anyone–living or dead–but the entire poem must appear or be spoken in the film. All formats are encouraged: film, digital, animation, stop motion, found footage, cell phone, etc. Collaboration (co-directors) okay.
Awards for: Best Director, Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Original Poem, Best Adaptation, Jury Award, "El Palto Alto" Award
All films entered will be screened at the 2025 Poetry Into Film Festival on May 15.
Film requirements:
- 5 minute limit
- Format: .mp4 or .mov
- File size: less than 2GB
- Codec: h.264 w AAC audio
- Aspect ratio: 16:9 preferred
- Res: 1080p or 720p
Deadline for submissions: 11:59pm on Friday, April 18
