The Creative Writing Program is pleased to announce a reading with our Stegner Fellows in Fiction and Poetry, Rose Himber Howse and Jackson Holbert.

Rose Himber Howse is a queer writer from North Carolina and a recent graduate of the MFA program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she served as fiction editor of The Greensboro Review. Rose’s fiction and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in JoylandThe Carolina Quarterly, Hobart, YES! Magazine, Sonora Review, and elsewhere. She has been awarded fellowships and residencies at the Millay Colony, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, and Monson Arts.

Jackson Holbert was born and raised in eastern Washington. His work has appeared in FIELDThe Iowa ReviewThe Nation, and Poetry. He received an MFA in Poetry from the Michener Center for Writers.
