Poet's House: Imaginary Conversations

This Winter, please join Jones Lecturer Keith Ekiss for Poet's House, a writing studio for beginning and experienced poets. We'll write from prompts, meet fellow poets, and talk poetry.

Poetry is often an overheard conversation. In this session of Poet's House, we'll write poems addressed to other people — the long dead, the distant, absent friends. What can a poem say that's often too difficult to approach in person? How can we surprise ourselves (and our readers) by pressing at the bounds of the everyday speech? Come with nothing and leave with the start of a few new (conversational) poems.
