By hardcopy application only. Limited to 12 students for the purpose of workshop and collaboration. Each student’s main project for the course is a 90 page full-length film script.
We’ll prepare in April by reading scripts, outlining our stories, and workshopping our first 10-15 pages. In May, we’ll write at least 3 pages a day, every day. The excellence we’ll aim for is the excellence of the first draft – completion. If you’ve ever wanted to write a full-length script, this story is designed to help/make/push you to do so.
Answers to FAQ’s: For film scripts only. Original or adaptations. No auditing the course. Students must take the course for 5 units. Applications chosen on the basis of the quality of the proposed script and the sample script. We’ll try to fit in as many seniors as possible, but juniors and sophomores and few graduate students have taken the class in the past.
To apply, include the premise-and-pitch of your script, plus a previous script sample with your application. Questions to firstname.lastname@example.org
